We fell in love with ice cream at an early age, influenced by parents and grandparents with a serious sweet tooth. Tiny Home Creamery was born in our 264 sq. ft. apartment, affectionately dubbed "Tiny Home" by our friends. It's a weekday hangout spot and the test kitchen where we dream up new flavors. We hope to create ice cream that takes you back home, to baking with mom and eating dessert before dinner.
Here's what people have to say about Tiny Home Creamery:
🏆 1st Place, Hester Street Fair Ice Cream Social, 2018
😮 "This is amazing. I'm pretty sure the human experience ends with this crème brûlée ice cream."
🍦 "I went on a donut and ice cream tour of Vermont and you guys are better than all of them."
We loved sharing Tiny Home Creamery with you this summer at Queens Night Market, LIC Food & Flea and Hester Street Fair. We’re heading back to the kitchen for the winter to test out new flavors and will be back in 2019 - keep an eye out!
Josh was eating ice cream long before he could do much else, when his Granddad showed him that having ice cream for dinner was perfectly acceptable. Years later, when Meera gave him an ice cream maker for his birthday, she had no idea what she was starting. Making ice cream turned out to be the perfect blend of our engineering backgrounds and our love for consuming entire pints of Ben & Jerry’s. After Josh churned his first batch, we were hooked. So we set out to make the richest, creamiest ice cream we could.
Josh spent months researching ice cream thermodynamics and composition, experimenting with different ingredients, and even writing software that allows him to design and fine-tune recipes to suit each flavor. Meera spent months critiquing everything he made and generously helping herself to seconds and thirds. Now it's time to share the goodness beyond the walls of Tiny Home.
